You mean eye for an eye?
They censored, now what?
...
Listen
1 There are no rules
2 There were rules
This is true when it comes to the bible (old vs new testament), this is true when it comes to art (music, drawing, painting, etc), this is also true for "reality", our universe, the world, call it as you see fit
The fact that one exists doesn't imply that two is irrelevant or must be disregarded. And vice versa, of course.
Also, to every general rule there is/are exceptions(s), even to this one...
The rule of “an eye for an eye” was part of God’s Law given by Moses to ancient Israel and was quoted by Jesus in his Sermon on the Mount. (Matthew 5:38, King James Version; Exodus 21:24, 25; Deuteronomy 19:21) It meant that when dealing out justice to wrongdoers, the punishment should fit the crime. *
The rule applied to deliberate injurious acts against another person. Regarding a willful offender, the Mosaic Law stated: “Fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, the same sort of injury he inflicted should be inflicted on him.”
Then according to the principle of retaliation mentioned above, censors should be censored then...
Hm, that's problematic...
