I guess I don’t understand “blocked”. I only got to block 5 users. I assumed I would no longer see a post or comment made by them. That’s all I wanted. They can continue to freely speak about whatever they want, I just don’t want to see it.

What is it that you don't understand from my previous comment?
all of their past/present/future posts won't appear anywhere, and the only way to see them is to unblock them or go to their profile's posts history.
all of their past/present and future (if they are level 30+) comments will be dimmed/collapsed anywhere, and the only way to see them is to expand them or go to their profile's comments history.
