Here is the uncropped image of the domain I blocked, but the non-SSL link still shows in my feed.

Try blocking in times.com and I bet you’ll get the same result. All results will disappear except this one.

It has nothing to do with the SSL.

You have to block the subdomains (www.)

Could domain blocking automatically block the www subdomain?

No. Because some domains are serving different websites depending on the subdomains. It just an extra click for you.
