I've seen this a few times now. The ! ahead of the [embed] directive gets removed after post leaving a broken link behind that works when clicked but behaves like a normal image link rather than an embedded image.

Editing the title to put the ! back does not fix the problem.

This is probably by design but I thought I'd post it in case others have seen this behavior as well.

The reason is because post's content doesn't have a built-in image upload, which means direct image links shared in the content won't get an expando fallback.

You'd have to share a pic8 album link in the URL field instead.

I plan on adding a detection and auto-mirroring of pic8 links in the content (while submitting only, not afterward).
