It inserts: !`[embed](https://poal.co/static/images/b33391d852f6e2b3.jpg)` Previewing the comment pointed out the error in the auto-generated embed code: >You must use !`[embed](/static/images/...)` for embed inline images. Embed is incorrectly adding `https://poal.co` to the embed code of a direct image URL upload. --- Drag and drop image and paste file from clipboard results in the embed code being inserted properly. It is just the direct image URL that does not insert the correct embed link for the uploaded image.
