I have seen the glory of fires burning bright and though go I toe to toe with death by morning, and fear by night

Burn, bright! Burn, bright! That great light!

Whos dawning resolute caused everyman to stand And stare with serious air At all that they could All that was good, all that was fair, all in this world that was beautiful and grand.

For that with tooth and nail and determined sweat, would bleed against the cutting gale of fortunes lot assailed. And stand they resolute for old age alike and childhood And righteous peace that would never fail.

They fought despair with the sweat of the brow All for those things they held dear To build great things, that outlast this world That kings would covet and banks could not steal Find common mind, and dear friends, and be of good cheer!

And then our enemies would find their final end On destinies great spear! The austerity of ordinary men. Who dared to smile at so-called 'fate' together united laughed in the face of lesser men and lived without fear!
