My eyes are dry from all the tears My Lord, my God, I know you capture them in your bottle.
My beard is wet from the overflowing struggle, How many more days, months and years?
There is only You who see my sorrow, my bed is damp from such distress.
The pillows are soggy, and will be again tomorrow, Until when, Oh God, will You rescue me from this mess?
Please, do not turn Your back to me, Remember Your creation in my time while I still live,
Please look upon my affliction and be kind, I cannot continue without Your presence, I know you see.
The heathen scorn when they see me this way, "Let his God deliver him, his Christ won't though, he has been betrayed!"
Show Your strength in my weakest moments, Then all will know You rescue those who seek Your refuge.
I cannot live but under Your wings and in Your shadow My breath You give, my destiny is Yours.
I am humble, and pitifully sober My mind mulls the torment over, and over, and over.
This life is like a flash, and dust I shall soon be, Please my Lord, return favor to me.
If you won't, I'll still praise your name, For Your Honor, Glory, Mercy, and Victory remain.
What good can I do for you stuck in this pit? What plan is there to Your majesty with me like this?
Guide me out of this horrible wilderness, I have no light but Your Word as my guide.
You speak, and worlds appear, So over me please speak goodness and love.
If you won't, no one has the power to overcome.
