There once lived a teenage boy Who could not find direction or joy He had not a ounce of care for himself and you could tell For his appearance reminded one of the lad who owns elves

One day the boy was sitting on a bench eating lunch Outside of his mother's workplace When an unfamiliar face arrived It was an man was wearing an all-white suit With a white cowboy hat and white shoes to match He bought a bottle of Shiner next door When he saw the boy at his seat

The man in white said to the boy "Mind if I sit with you, kid?" Then the boy somewhat quietly said "I don't really care" while staring at his food basket

The boy and the man in white sat together The man in white would then say "Why must you surrender yourself?" The boy looked at him in confusion and said "I did not surrender myself, I am free."

The man in white then asks the boy "Do you truly believe you are free? That you are happy with your life?" The boy paused and then said "No. Life hurts like a knife. I feel like I'm not in control." The man in white felt sympathy for the boy He then tells the boy

"Listen kid, I know how you feel. I was the same way when I was young. I grew up in a poor and broken household. Nobody in the family could afford anything Other than the cheapest, least healthy foods. I felt I could not get my hands on the wheel. I was not a happy boy. Would you like to know I have become what I am now?" The boy slowly nodded his head and said "Yes sir, I sure would." The man in white said things that the boy would never forget

"What I first did was find some work My first job did not have any perks But it was enough to get me by.

Then I spent some time at the gym To help make myself strong and slim. I also started being careful about what I eat It's best to avoid carbs and to get some good meat.

With the money I had made from my job, I was able to go to a trade school And learned how to use valuable tools After I graduated I acquired a new job repairing machinery at a workshop

That's when the money started to load I had saved up enough to purchase a Sierra and a Minnie And started to take my work to the open road I was repairing machines in factories from Miami to Vancouver And had gained quite the mighty reputation

But now I am ready to settle and start a family Before I become an old retiree.

What I am trying to tell you Is that you must take care of yourself Learn a valuable skill and manage your health You could even start your own business Do these things and you will have a better chance At finding true happiness."

The man in white walked away Never to be seen again The boy began to smile As he soon discovered That prosperity he could obtain
