What a moth must see

Was a muggy night
Thunder to the east

A frantic insect
Traces tight circles
A cone of uncertainty
Navigation errant

For a moment I see
What it sees --
Moonlight agent
Set Ablaze in lamplight;

Nav sensors overload.
Failure to override.
The plane flattens,
Luna an inch away.

We circumnavigate,
Round Tera 60 times.
I calculate the speed --
Unheard of!

I am a satellite
Moving at tremendous pace
Once merely mortal
Now become a god
