The sun is supposedly mostly hydrogen. It would seem that hydrogen existed first for some reason, and as mass tends to attract mass, the hydrogen bundled together because hydrogen has mass. The more potent argument is why isnt jupiter a sun. Maybe there isnt enough mass or density. Maybe a sun has to have some sort of "spark" to give it life. The earth is solid and seems to be made of something different than the sun. The center areas are definitely liquid elements. Pressure creates heat, if you've ever worked a hammer you'll know this. Liquid hot rock spews out of the earth. The further down you mine, the warmer it is. If you've ever dug a hole, you will find that it packs tighter the further down you go. Logically, the weight on the stuff on top presses down on that underneath.

If you want to experiment with this stuff, the distillation of hydrogen is fairly easy. I won't get into it here but hydrogen is fairly volatile. If the sun somehow creates hydrogen and sustains the creation of it somehow, it might as well be a hydrogen oven. As far as I'm aware, the earth has no ability to create like the sun does. The Son gave us life, and his land is our host.

The earth is a hollow toroid. As are all "living" planets.

If the outer shell is solid or gaseous depends on how big the central star is, how fast things are spinning, etc.

Just watch a video of water spinning in space. It turns into a toroid.
