Maybe you didn't go to 8th grade so let me explain it like I would to a small child or a black person. IN A PERFECT WORLD WHERE EVERYONE IS HONEST AND FAIR, your wages would go up and so would everyone else's equally. Great right? Except all those wages have to be paid, which means all your bills go up the same amount that your wage increased. So you don't make any more money. The companies you pay don't make any more money. The ONLY entity that makes more money is the government, because they tax by dollars made and spent, not by profit margins. So you don't win, nobody else wins, only the government wins by stealing more money. WE DONT LIVE IN A PERFECT WORLD. So people who make more than minimum wage will NOT get comparable raises, devaluing their skills and our workforce as a whole. Bills whose labor costs DIDNT increase will still increase costs because everyone else is and it gives them an excuse. The government STILL taxes more because you make more money, and all the wealth gets funneled to the people already in power. So YOU LOSE. THEY LOSE. EVERYONE LOSES. GOOD JOB IDIOT.
