I filled up my brother's older small Taurus yesterday for $40. Similar situation, he fills up once a month. I used to tell people to pass on the Prius and get a Ford Focus or Chevy Cobalt/Cruz. That they'll save on gas and the overall vehicle costs. My Jeep Renegade is going to kill me. So now I'm back to only filling up at Costco once a week now.
