I hadn't heard any update for a few days about Ben Garrison's health challenges. So I went to his website, and sent him a message to wish him well.

I got this immediate reply:

"Thank you for the well wishes. I can sure use them. I see the oncologist in about an hour and a half. I want to live so I can keep drawing the cartoons—so many more left to draw!
