Heat output from one of those candles will be about 30-40 watts. The terracotta stores some heat and releases it more slowly, so even lower power but longer lasting. As a hear source, candles are expensive for how much energy they contain, but useful if a little slow-release heat is desired. And of course they also provide some light.
