Pretty much but it's not a matter of cycle time it's a matter of capacity, if you harvest a bunch of xxxxxx all at the same time you can can it all in about a day or two, with freeze drying most of xxxxxx would rot before you could finish the crop. That being said, a combination approach would be the best of both worlds. FFS I would LOVE to be able to make my own MREs!!!
