I was there! Had drinks and sang with the big guy in hooded jacket and his friends and a bunch of us women at a bar near our gates. We sang the anthem at the bar, too. It was January 7th around 3:30pm. We were shocked to find out they, UNITED, did that!

I’m doubting.
Did they make a very costly unscheduled landing in some random location, stranding the passengers?
Or did they disembark an entire plane pe-flight, and cancel a flight, backing up connections, occupying an expensive jetway, and/or flying an empty plane?
Or was this at the end of a scheduled flight and passengers were asked to disembark as they always do at the end of a flight.

They must be rolling in $$$$ to afford to lose all those customers and their families/friends/readers. American Airlines must be rich too. They threatened to land their plane in the middle of no-where Kansas b/c the passengers who paid for the flight were chanting USA!
How many people refuse to fly already? I won't fly since they began dragging people off the plane b/c they double booked seats. Plus they're dirty petri dishes.

Patriot. I am a 33 year retired airline pilot and that fuck Captain on that flight represents a slither of the airline pilot profession. I can count the times on my left hand and have fingers left over that I flew with a bone fucking head liberal. We are overwhelmingly a conservative bunch as we are wired that way by necessity. It also filters into you personally. Lot of responsibility sitting behind us. We know it and take it damn seriously. Safety first at all times. Besides, I always looked at it like this. We save our asses we save all of the asses in those seats. Ironically, the ones I did fly with were more conservative than they realized. Had some good debates but my angle was to always make them think. That knuclehead is an anomaly. o7

Patriot, I totally agree with you, having been in the Military, I was Honored to be in the back seat of a slick flown by a Pilot who had three Slicks shot down in one day in a hot LZ. when he got back he requested another Slick to go back, was told he did not have to go, he said yes he did. Having also flown commercial I have never seen nothing but professionalism from the flight crews.
This Knucklehead and the conduct exhibited. Raises many questions that need to be addressed. It appears this knucklehead felt his conduct was acceptable. I only blame him and his chain of command.
I have the highest respect for Pilots and Aircrews. and quite familiar with Busting ours to save yours. And I Thank all of them, even the ones that returned our Brothers and Sisters who were brought home in Coffins. The Respect and Honor that was shown by these flight crews will never be forgotten.
But United and this Knucklehead need to get their two point contacts squared away. To ensure this does not happen again.
