Maybe I’m being optimistic, but I’d like to think that having a high IQ correlates with having high morality.
I would say that is true more often then not. And that is most likely why many police departments engage in the practice of setting an upper allowable limit (at a low bar) for new hires.
Source on that? I only found one and it wasn’t even an actual IQ test. It just said he scored too high and their reasoning is he’d get bored with police work from being so intelligent.
It is a test to measure intelligence. Like the term “inflation” is commonly used to describe the effect of rising retail and wholesale prices resulting from the inflation of the monetary supply, IQ is frequently (improperly) used as the term to describe an individual’s intelligence level. If one university uses the “A-1 Aptitude Test” for entry, and another uses the score of the “Acme Advanced Cognitive Measurement And Assessment Spectrum” is there really a difference? I understand that isn’t the best analogy in today’s Clown World, where racial quotas carry more weight than actual performance of the alumni, but cut me some slack, Jack. Anyways, the appeals court ruling, which you are likely to have found, gives the wide-spread use of intelligence as a discriminatory tool away: “because it matters not whether the city’s decision was correct so long as it was rational.” In other words, the abandoned principle of not allowing idiots to carry authority behind the protection of a tin badge because of obvious problems that could (and now actually do) occur, the newer principle of believing that a person of higher intelligence most likely will become frustrated with the actions of the Brave New World Order, and quit is allowed.
