Stay up on the central bank roll outs. A CBDC USD Coin is backed by the dollar. A USD coin is basically the same as a dollar in their eyes. Keep your eyes on that. It will matter if that's the hill you're going to die on.

When the digital currency rolls out they will most likely confiscate or "encourage you to turn in or trade" paper monies. A dollar will represent x (a % value not equal) value of digital currency. It'll probably be taxed at the moment of replacement as well.
Except for the petro dollar it is a fiat currency. Most currency is. I agree with your turn in or trade comment. There will be some kind of "incentive" to individuals to leave paper behind.
