Had a shocker convo with a life-long friend of mine today. This is someone I've known since I was a single-digit-aged child. She's an M.D. and double Ph.D. - a very book smart lady - but asleep at the wheel on the 'awake' front.

We've clashed INTENSELY for many years over my passion for candidate / President / post-President Trump, as well as had a tear-filled major falling out recently over her getting vaxxed, despite the countless mounds of info I'd provided to her about it.

Well, get this! She called me today, after not speaking for months, and she went on a tirade about how our country is totally falling apart at the seams. She rattled off a litany of Biden failures, such as getting involved in the Ukraine sitch - pulling the USA into a war with Russia, crazy inflation, gas prices, stock market collapse (she's probably losing mega bucks), border invasion, etc. - all without me saying a single word about ANY of it! She even said that she thinks Biden getting our country thrust into Ukraine is just to protect Biden's dirty laundry and corruption with his son. My jaw was on the FLOOR!

I just listened and let her share her revelations. I was already stunned by her sudden awakening about a lot of this stuff, but she wrapped up her tirade with the most pivotal conclusion. She said, "NONE of this would be happening if Trump was still in office." Then she even rattled off x/y/z things that were "so much better when Trump was the president." I was so happy to hear her revelations and spark of awakening, it nearly brought me to tears.

I kidded, "Well, I was gonna stay FAR away from politics talking with you, but gee, now maybe we can discuss stuff like this without clashing." She replied, "No, I WANT to - I want to know what you know and what's really going on." I in no way rubbed her face in anything or did any type of "I told you so" digs whatsoever. It was a purely positive, constructive, non-combative conversation for the first time in many years.

We're going to get together tomorrow for the first time in many months. I'm looking forward to hearing about what she's figured out and heard/seen that's turned her head around, as well as share info with her to fill in some gaps and answer her many questions, now that she is actually INTERESTED.

Just wanted to share a sprinkle of good news that I've personally seen one hardened, TDS Trump-hater who has actually snapped out of the trance, thus proving it that is ACTUALLY possible. =-)

Agree - We never know when the info's going to sink in and someone will have their "aha" moment. That's why we need to keep getting the info out even when it seems that doors are slammed in our faces.

Great news! Always good to see people willing to revise their views based on facts. I'm also happy for both of you that you'll get to enjoy your long-term friendship again - Many relationships have suffered harm due to the BS, so it's wonderful to hear that things CAN get better. Thank you for this message of hope (and patience.)

Regarding your upcoming visit. If it was me, I would try to focus the conversation around the lying media. I have seen several people get mad about the world, all the crap going on, and have their ah-ha moment, just to be drug back in by the media lies. If you can keep her seeing the media lies she may keep the awakening process going.

Great advice. Every time I see her, we end up somewhere that has a TV (with Fake News on) in the restaurant and I am CONSTANTLY pointing out that all the news is untrue. So she's heard that from me endlessly for years and knows that I don't trust a word that spews out of the b.s. "news" media. :-) I've often pointed out how the opposite of what the media says is what's actually true most of the time.

OP presented this as a hopeful sign that more people are waking up. Not only that, a lot of relationships have been destroyed due to "political" differences, and this post is a message of hope that those relationships can be repaired. If I was the OP and this was the first comment on my post, I'd wonder why someone on my own team seems so ready to criticize my hopeful news.

Thanks for sharing this story patriot. It is good news and it is very encouraging to those of us that have been trying to wake people up for so many years. The seeds can grow! Good on you for finally getting to have a conversation with an old friend without the left's brainwashing getting in the way. Would love to know how the one on one goes.

Thank you! I posted an update in this thread after seeing her today. Unfortunately, she had a bunch of other biggie life events going on and that's all she wanted to talk about today, so we didn't make any further 'progress' or broach any hot topics.

When I asked her how she started seeing/acknowledging all this stuff, she just said, "Who CAN'T see it?" (despite her not seeing any of it a few mere months ago). I think the Ukraine sitch had a big part in it because the last time we spoke, that war hadn't started yet, and that was one of her biggest 'alarming' things that she'd mentioned when she called on Friday.

Yeah I suppose that checks out … those people will think THEY were the aware ones when they wake up finally … despite denying and ignoring it for years. Regardless, it’s a good thing so no reason to hold it against them just cuz their ego can’t take the hit.

Hopefully more people like her (phds and such) wake up cuz lord knows the average sheep is stuck on “well you’re not an expert in this field - how do you know two masks won’t make you twice as safe” for example.
