Welcome, thank you. Was there a particular goal post move that did it for you? Or was it a combination? How did the other qanons communicate with you after you stopped believing?
Multiple goal posts moving multiple times so it became a bit of a joke to watch. The justifications were especially wrenching to read, especially the ever-present 'optics' explanation which sufficed for anything and everything. Any pushback onto other anons, not qanons, was met with 'shill' or 'why are you here' and the like. Q followers mainly acted like if anyone was not inline with the group thought then it was a very personal attack on them. So childish that it didn't phase me but it was hard to watch arguably at least semi-intelligent people disrespect themselves for an unknown. I accepted lots of of good information from Q folks but it seemed like there was just as much if not more that was rightly thrown away as junk.

Well in a sense it was; even when people are polite, the idea that you've invested so much time, emotion, energy and belief into something that is wrong is a hard pill for anyone to swallow. I'm glad you made it, and hope your words can inspire others too.
perhaps, in a sense. when put that way, emotion was the larger line in the sand. emotion was a force behind the lack of reasoning and, without cool-headed reasoning, there could be very little discourse. it became personal when it shouldn't have been. it's politics and politics is a very dirty business. to succeed (in many avenues), cool heads are needed rather than hot headed passion. I'm not discounting being passionate about something but there's a line...in the sand, if you will. cross the line and one becomes easily manipulated and conquered. thanks for the thread. it helped me reflect on the whole phenomena.
