"Biete Ghiorgis" aka church of saint george aka "Rock-Hewn Churches of Lalibela", it's not jewish it's christian, and it's in ethiopia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_Saint_George,_Lalibela#History

>The Church of Saint George was carved downwards from a type of volcanic tuff. This is the sole architectural material that was used in the structure. It has been dated to the late 12th or early 13th century AD, and thought to have been constructed during the reign of King Gebre Mesqel Lalibela, of the late Zagwe dynasty.[1] It is among the best known and last built of the eleven churches in the Lalibela area, and has been referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World".[2] Lalibela, King of Ethiopia, sought to recreate Jerusalem, and structured the churches' landscape and religious sites in such a way as to achieve such a feat.

I like the concept, first you have to really get up close to notice that it's there, and then its difficult to invade, as in "home invasion", of course it's not immune to attack helicopters and RPGs, but you get the idea

Do you mean that Sudan is in the Horn of Africa or that there are pyramids in both Sudan and the Horn pf Africa?

[–] 1 pt

Technically sudan is part of the horn of africa

Contrary to popular beliefs, there are vestiges of constructions in africa, ancient stuffs like pyramids, termples, etc But they are rare and certainly not all over africa

Now for the pyramids in sudan, they were probably egyptian outpost I think, but I'm not sure I'm not an expert I just know there are some over there

Depend who you ask I guess. I always thought it was just Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia.
