The torque3D devs can't be retarded to the point of making the entire archive puke itself inside the download folder...."

Those people, are retarded, are fucking shit for brain. You just don't , ever, do THAT. No matter how smart you are, if you did that, you're fucktarded, you're a moron, you're stupid

You DO NOT make zip archives vomiting dozens of files all over the place. You park all your shit INSIDE a directory, and that's what actually gets extracted, that's the end result... A directory, with project files in it. As opposed to a fucking mess and outright chaos

I use the 7zip GUI option so it’s literally a click for me. You can keep bitching about it or you can pick up a habit to prevent it. Your call.

I don't use windows

And you can keep using your shit windows it doesn't change the fact that it's retarded to directly zip the content of a folder and not the folder itself, for obvious reason
