The torque3D devs can't be retarded to the point of making the entire archive puke itself inside the download folder...."

You DO NOT make zip archives vomiting dozens of files all over the place. You park all your shit INSIDE a directory, and that's what actually gets extracted, that's the end result... A directory, with project files in it. As opposed to a fucking mess and outright chaos

Look, this is a rant over bad archiving practices, that's why it's posted in s/Rant

Because yes, it's bad practice to directly zip the content of a directory, because then it forces the user to check every single time if the "zipper" did the retarded thing before extracting anything, and because the user ends up defaulting on systematically using the alternative option for extracting, ie create a new folder/extract over there, instead of simply using extract. It's more bs getting in the way everyday because what? Because some moron might have zipped his project like a dork

There's no debate beyond this one, this isn't a "help me extract my shit" call for help

Well no, sorry, the shitass zip archive and its content belongs to the trash bin end of story, because the author is obviously retarded anyways, because nobody but retards directly zip the content of the project's directory, that's the default position, that's the standard thank you very much good bye

That's how it works, that's the default position, you can't make a proper zip archive, chances are the whole project is shit because you have shit for brain

And no I'm not going to mkdir a new directory and type unzip -d path to the fucking newly created directory every single time I need to extract something, just in case a moron like you can't fucking zip his project properly
