Just because we've been taught these grand platitudes since we were children does not make them true.

Bum rushing a government building while taking things and breaking windows was a stupid idea. It's stupid because it will not be effective.

I understand the anger and the intentions of those who did it. But still can't understand why anyone would think it would work.

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable." or something similar.

The United States is a caricature of itself. We venerate our history on designated holidays then suppress, oppress, and make into dissidents those who try to live the very same standards as our founders.

I’ve called the buildings in DC their “temples” for a long time. It’s their religion. All the way back to Lincoln with his bullshit rhetoric about the “sacred Union.”

Agree. I hate being in that city. It's like the Capitol in the Hunger Games. They are clueless and have concentrated the nation's wealth into their "temples"
