I just try to get my coffee, usually a mix between coffee or hot chocolate. But this one woman is so damn annoying, she's always smiling and screaming hello when i come in. Just give me my damn drink and leave me alone. Seriously, have some manners. Stop acting like some neglected puppy, i pay you for my coffee, you leave me alone, its all transactional.

Make your own coffee, it really isn't that difficult and you'll save lot of money.

That's a peeve of mine. See people spending hundreds of dollars a month on coffee and complain they don't have money to do other things.

You clearly haven’t gone down the ‘really good coffee ‘ rabbit hole.

Now it does get mouthgasmically good, but it also gets pricey.

Sometimes guests just sit and stare off into their mind and sip coffee I make them. Realizing every other cup their whole life has been a lie. It’s euphoric and depressing all at once. Gets worse when they realize I won’t do this for them every day... can’t ever go back once you have tasted nirvana.

Yes it does when done over the top, it becomes annoying. I dont need the entire coffee shop knowing my name, or having the barista start a conversation for no reason

The people at my local bank would ALL smile and say hello when I walked in. like 4 in a row. To the point that it was a little creepy. I felt like it was invasion of the body snatchers.

Keep in mind theyre being forced to greet you that way. She may be over the top as a form of protest. If I was stuck in that position thats what I'd do.

I was on a ship in the coast guard. Youre supposed to salute an officer once a day when on board. I would salute every officer every time I saw them! The XO and the OPS officer were on deck one time and ran inside to avoid me! HAAA! beat em at their own game.

Im just picturing the officers running around the boat to avoid them, like a quick turn down another door. But you are correct, these people are paid to be nice, it's just super creepy when they're over the top
