There's a douchebag in my apartment building that has a rice grinding sound rally car that he loves to idle for 10+ minutes EVERY. FUCKING. MORNING. I've been dealing with this asshole everyday for the past 7 months. The exhaust is unnecessarily loud and I can hear that car a good half mile away when he drives off.
I've tried blocking out the noise with a fan, put on headphones and listen to some music, but I work second shift and don't go to sleep until 2-3am - then anytime from 7-8am I get woken up by this asshole's car and I get irrationally angry. I've left notes on his car and he did move it to another parking space because he used to start his car right by my bedroom window less than 6 feet from my bed.

This morning was the final straw. He was idling his car and wiping it down outside and doing a little shuffle dance. I think he gets off knowing that it pisses me off.

I'm at my wits end and ready to beat the ever living shit out of this faggot. How do I go about dealing with this without ending up in jail?

I understand the need to idle in freezing temps, but anything over 5 minutes is excessive - especially if it's every day. Your car/engine won't freeze overnight if it was used less than 12 hours prior.

I got a chevy with a quadra jet 305 and it takes a minimum of 15 to 20 minutes to warm up in winter.

Cars and trucks with turbos need to be warmed up before use and cooled down before shut off or the oil lubricating the turbo will coke up the bearings. All diesels should be warmed up to temp before use. So apparently everyone who owns either is an asshole by your standards. I will give you a pass though because the dude has a loud exhaust. And no Harleys dont have loud exhaust for "safety", if anyone puts loud pipes on a Harley they are just doing it for attention and are douchebags, the same holds true for cars.
