What are the honeycomb coral looking things on the right? I would guess tripe, but that seems out of place with the birds hanging there.

Could be. This place looks tame, honestly. I have seen some gnarly shit in Asian stores/delis. One that stands out is blanched complete innards of a piglet. And the innards were full. Viet Namese deli. That one about made me hurl, checking out edible looking lunch type dishes and seeing that all wrapped up celophane on a tray as if it's perfectly normal.
