Look at Tom Fulp. Creator of new grounds. He made Pico, this loser ginger kid that turned into a badass in response to being a victim of a school shooting. When friday night funkin came out, Tom made a flash remake of his original smash hit, but in this one, everything is resolved peacefully and at the end Pico, who up till then was straight and a ladies man, was revealed to have have boyfriend. It was made as a joke for April first, the joke being that any of those conflicts could be peacefully resolved, since the villains were actually a bunch of sociopaths who for some reason or another considered themselves superior to regular kids and set about slaughtering them (one was psychic, one was a cyborg ninja, one was an alien, and one was some normal human). It also changed their motives to something stupid, the last one being a hate of homophobia, since their alien race all had penises (their species was just a big penos joke, a call back to the poster in the janitors office that said "chick's with dicks: twice the fun"). Anyway, with the current cultural fetiah for hemophilia and wanting to make every character gay or bi, they demanded that Tom leave this kids show joke he made for April 1st up and declare it canon, given how intentionally stupid the flash was, he was resistant, but the sjw crowd wore him down. Eventually he caved, - sort of, he said that it was Canon in an alternate universe and timeline.
