sperm aren't active all the time (swimming uses up energy stores) so they have to be triggered into swimming, you could do this hormonally, but it would be hard to trigger that at the point of ejaculation. But if you keep them at a lower temperature, and then squirt them into a warmer vagina, then you can use that sudden temperature change to activate them.

You don't understand how they work. Sperm is very sensitive to temperature fluctuation. The testes reside inside the body until internal body temperature rises which could fry the guys. At that point the testes drop into the scrotum to cool off. They are only outside the body for safety and retract back inside once temperature stabilizes.
