I had a friend, or at least thought he was a friend who isnt anymore. I noticed that every time we talked he was always complaining about money, or asking for money, or wanting to borrow money, or complaining about money. Eventually his ideas went from slightly annoying to completely insane, leading to a land acquisition purchase where in theory, i would have paid for the entire plot of land (close to 300,000 in total), and than would have needed to pay him to build it out, to turn around and give him 50% ownership of the property. I noped out of the deal, but the proposition was so bad it boggled my mind how one could even entertain this idea

I came to this realization years ago, and I get made fun of for it often. Thing is, I don't really care about money, and I hate thinking about it. Investments in particular my eyes will immediately glaze over hearing someone talk about.

Money is a means to an end, and that is it. I don't think of it like a game or a status symbol. It's food on my plate, a roof over my head, clothes on my back, gas in the tank, etc.

On its own, money is useless. It doesn't even burn particularly well.

it feels like the semi awakened normies are still normies at the end of the day, they want success but within the constraints of a losing game, where the house always wins. They just dont understand why the house always wins yet
