Of all the taxes, sales tax has to be the stupidest. Shit gets taxes dozens of times! Take a car, for example... start at the aluminum mine, bauxite, taxed. Aluminum ingots, taxed. Aluminum sheets, taxed. New car, taxed. Used car, taxed. Used car, taxed. Used car, taxed. etc.
