As an apprentice bricklayer years ago, I worked with this ol’ guy, Earl. We were up a few decks of scaffold on a long tall gymnasium wall when he asks a hoddy for a couple angle irons. He just says, follow my lead. We put in like a 2x3 foot opening in the wall. After a couple courses goin’ over it the foreman comes run’n out of the trailer screaming what the fuk is this hole in his wall? Earl just calmly replies, it’s a pay window. Where’s our checks? Lol, best quit ever.
My boss gets pissed at me about one a year for some odd reason. He tries to compare me to the current loser in the company and I just say "yeah ok, I'll do better" and he forgets about it in a couple of weeks.
Just be careful how he documents the conversation could he say it was a verbal warning?
its not, the company is too busy promoting pride and liberal bullshit, so we got the tail end of the budget for infrastructure. The end result is piece of crap laptops that don't work, but at least we're diverse and tolerant ....
I am very lucky my company doesn't push any of that but we are super understaffed for what we actually need it's stressing the whole IT team out.
pareto principal 20 percent does the most. some of the rest can literally make idiot decisions that just waste time and money but it becomes epistemic viciousness. that is the possession of vices that make one bad at acquiring true beliefs, or give one a tendency to form false ones. if enough have this they cannot see what the real problem is. the movie office space portrays this quite well IMO.
