Interesting that you bring those up. We've actually questioned and debated this with one of the upper managers. According to him, the primary reason for the change was cost. The secondary reason was homogenized chemical among all locations.
However from what we've heard, the REAL reason is even more infuriating. They're not getting kickbacks as you might expect. The cost per concentrate unit is comparable across the board. And homogeny across the company wasn't an issue until just recently since Diversey only makes a few products for said dispenser.
No, the reason they're switching is because Waxies is one of the few companies that sells major equipment like buffers, scrubbers, indoor power washers, etc, and they have decided to use that power to tell us that unless we begin using their chemicals, they will close our accounts because we're not spending enough money with them.
This drives me up a wall as Amazon, and used power equipment companies exist all over. But management wants it all at their fingertips or phone call access, everything else is damned for their convenience.
