I actually don't care if idiots want to buy electric vehicles. Just don't tax me to incentivize their production, tax me to incentivize their purchase, tax me to build the required charging infrastructure, tax me to upgrade roads and bridges, or increase my insurance in case they crash into me...

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. If you want one, the cost is on you. Don't allow gov subsidies for it. I don't want to help give anyone a 7k tax incentive on their shiny new virtue mobile.
