My computer is trying it's best to shit the bed

Cannot launch any programs in Admin mode

Have to use workarounds for everything, but somehow can still shitpost online

Cannot access work programs

Even powershell doesn't recognize like 90% of commands I give it now

My aepic.dll is corrupted or missing IMMEDIATELY after an update I decided to allow.

Now I can't directly launch programs or access my "windows" button.

Have to use a workaround to access my program lib and launch from there. NO FUCKING ADMIN function either. This is good. This is fine.

But without admin, I CAN"T CONFIGURE MY DLLs

So now I'm fucked and have to spend all day trying to fix this because my work files are inaccessible

Luckily I have some backups, but I would definitely prefer it if NON-OPTIONAL FUCKING UPDATES DIDN'T

COMPLETELY FUCK MY WORK COMPUTER

Remember when "update" meant that the software was being improved or fixed in some way, instead of just bloating into failure?

Pepperidge Farm Old fucks like me remember.

Depending on the sorts of programs you need for work, virtualisation may well be the answer. It's how I dealt with clients still having windows-dependant software for me to deal with. That way you can just keep a snapshot of the VM and restore it to a working confiuguration whenever it shits the bed.
