rabbits', guinea pigs', and chinchillas' teeth are the same way. it's 1 of the reasons why they need a supply of hay.

i don't know if hamsters', chipmunks', squirrels', mice's, rats', etc. teeth are that way.

Don't rats have "selfe sharpening" teeth? so that no matter where they chew through - be it even a metal pipe - their teeth never wear down.

Squirrels chew on power lines to wear theirs down.
