Some markets can take years to recover. My example is that of beef. At the beginning of 2020 most of the east coast of Australia was in drought. Many farmers couldn't afford to buy feed for their cattle so sold them. In the last two years the conditions have been good for raising cattle with decent rain. The problem is that it takes 1.5-3 years to raise cattle for slaughter. Friends raise cattle and said they bought feed during the drought and in January this year got record high price per head because a lack of supply.
