I used to go to a place called The Boardroom, men's salon. They didn't throw out women or kids but they wouldn't do a woman cut, sometimes kids. But if the kids were noise they'd run them off. But all female staff. I stopped going because the woman that cut my hair moved all opened her own salon room.
Before I started buzzing my own head I went to a barbershop that was so old school my wife used to laugh. "Do you get a free cigar with every cut?"
Naa, it's mostly just don't want mess with me. Just want to relax.
Same exact here. Had an old-school barber shop next town over, ran by an old white-hair dude. Decades of expertise.
Then, of course, I got tired of paying for haircuts, bought buzzer to buzz my head every few weeks. That paid for itself pretty quickly.
