So, from what I've observed watching things on the internet, when left with no resources but scavenged debris and nature: Black people will house their entire family in a shanty made out of sheet metal and cloth and feed their children such nutritious delicacies as "dirt cookies". Vietnamese people will build a multi-room cabin out of hollowed-out earth and bamboo (including swimming pool), then find a way to open-flame cook every edible plant or animal in sight. White people will turn a small stream into a waterwheel generator and use it to power and entire house, then generally start a farm and raise their own livestock (especially chickens).
