When I was much younger I naively thought I could change people's minds by debating them, or arguing, or using and facts and the Socratic method etc etc.
The older I get the more clear it becomes that these things are sacred beliefs.
They believe genetics predispose blacks to have the same average intelligence and temperament as any other people. That sex deviants are tortured by external factors not internal ones. And they believe that stuff as fervently as any Christian believes in Jesus or as any other type of zealot believes in Mohammad, Moses, or Marx.
Since those positions are sacred you can not talk people out of them.
I actually want to ask lefties if they base their opinions on fact. They'll say yes of course, so next I'd ask if that means that in theory they could become a racist or a bigot if new facts proved the racists and bigots were right. If they were honest at all they'd admit that these are beliefs that can never be compromised no matter the evidence.
I could have asked that stuff on the internet of 20 years ago. Now I can't even communicate with these idiots. Where would I even ask hard questions? Twitter, Reddit? INSTANT BAN, or I'm blocked.
They say science progresses one funeral at a time and that's never seemed more true. I think the best we can do is write down the truth so subsequent generations know what the fuck is going on.

Plato's The Republic describes this scenario very well.
There was a society that was very wealthy and prosperous thanks to the royal bloodline making great decisions over 100's of years. So they decided to form a DEMOCRACY where all citizens got a say in the laws and rules. Plato is in a room with elderly men and they are recalling witnessing this first hand, so that means the downfall happened FAST.
The people in the democracy voted in judges that would make them rich. They voted in politicians that declared everyone equal and outlawed royal blood. They voted in farmers who did not work. They voted for more and more welfare for everyone.
When the money ran out because they were not making anything anymore society collapsed and everyone just left and went elsewhere, and the elders describe "the city ruins" to the north that is the remains of that once great society.
Linear Progression of humans is not a thing.
People can do and will get together, allow stupid people to run things, and then it all collapses.
