tl;dr You need a camera and either a long lens or a telescope that'll hook to it to see how parallax lets you view the moon from different angles.

So, the moon always shows one face to Earth. Round Earthers believe it's because, despite the moon being a sphere, it's "tidally locked" to Earth and stuck in that position. Sounds suspicious, eh?

Well, Round Earthers also believe we are also on a big sphere, and that sphere is constantly turning. If that's true, we're also shifting in position in relation to the moon. If the moon was a sphere you'd be looking at it from different angles, wouldn't you?

Well, turns out you can. If you can take good quality photos of the moon at dawn and dusk you'll see the moon from different angles. If you take a number of different photos over night and string them together you'll be able to see the angular change. With a good view (you'll need a 1000mm equivalent lens or better) the 3D motion is apparent enough to demonstrate both that the moon is a sphere and that you're moving in relation to the moon.

It's kinda funny this even has to be discussed.

Yes, it's a great strategy to discredit conspiracy that comes to fruition.

As I talked shit about how the media is in on the vax grift to a vaxxed friend, he likened me to a flat earther.

thats an odhominem NPC response. after getting one of those you have confirmed you are dealing with a braindead programmable zombie

That is ironic, isn't it?

The vaxxies are very similar to the FE people - believing statements about reality which can be easily discarded, if you're willing to actually ask.

It's part of Clown World.

Or just part of being an idiot falling for trolling 101... Every single time...

Earth is flat btw AND the vimana can fly... https://youtu.be/zpKIj4-bmt0?t=90

I had to search for what vimana were, which reminds me of a saying about how neurotics build castles in the sky, but psychotics live in them.

LMFAO! Quebec mongrel still retards hard! HONK HONK!

I actually find it rather interesting. The fact is, so much of what we learn isn't science so much as scientism.

When you never travel very far from home, the world looks rather flat. You're relying on a bunch of other people telling you these interesting things and showing you interesting pictures and relying on what they give you. It's not quite true that if you aren't using the scientific method you aren't practicing science, but it's rather important.

Right now there are a bunch of people telling us global climate change is a real thing and that everyone (except the chosen elites) has to change their behavior to lessen or prevent it. It's in many ways analogous to the way we believe Earth isn't flat. I'm not really skeptical about Earth but I can see how skepticism isn't entirely unjustified.

Which makes is really great when you can do an experiment, in your own backyard, with a reasonable level of equipment, to verify these ideas. Now... How would you do this to verify global climate change?

You dirty climate denier, you and everyone else need to send me carbon credits to make up for all the damage you've done. I expect 6million carbon credits in my account before tomorrow.

is it ? we have been lied to about literally everything but we shouldn't at least question this as well?... it would be insane not to question this instead of just believing all they say about our world and the space around us, which is from the same lying mouths that has lied to us about everything else. we should never rip on people for questioning abosolutely everything.. in fact it should be our duty given all that we have been lied to about.

we have been lied to about literally everything

So you think the earth, moon and sun are all flat, lol... I guess smooth brains all think alike.

no i think what our ancestral mythology says about our world is true.. Norse and Hindu in particular.
