90% of that ocean waste originates from 4 rivers in Asia.

The fact that they are restricting the US’s use is just emotional virtue signaling in my eyes (repeal the 19th amendment). If they actually cared to solve the problem they would be pressing these laws in China and India. The fact that they aren’t just shows that their motivation is something else other than actually solving the problem.
