I can't find a good copy of The Pretender. The only copy I was able to find is a VHS copy from TV. This is quite weird, since it's a cult series. I wonder why it's so hard to find a good copy of the show.

I watched it back in the day. I enjoyed it then. No idea if it holds up.

It's a cult show. It's about a genius guy who escapes from a secret govt laboratory and starts helping people, while escaping from the govt. If you watch the pilot, you will be hooked.

I checked those torrents, the uploader did good by ripping the episodes from DVD9's using MakeMKV, but they didn't re-encode the MPEG-2 to x264 (or x265 even better) using HandBrake like they should have done. That is why the torrents are so huge (40G per season).

How can you explain this mistake? Is this a common mistake?
