And Justin Denison, the same guy who mocked Apple for removing the headphone plug (Note 7 keynote), trivialised .

Pre-installed apps are annoying.

I agree that those should be downloadable instead of pre-installed.

Although they don't bother me as much as missing features.

Disabling should actually completely suspend all activity from that app.

One needs root access to actually uninstall it. Yes, not great, but does not bother me nearly as much as missing functionality.

Sure I have.

But why did they not just get a Google Nexus instead of Samsung, if they prefer less functionality?

(Yes, pre-installed apps are not good. But I considered system functionality such as Samsung AirView quite useful and with good potential for app developers.)

Google phones may not be universally available or have not the right hardware/features.
