We keep getting told that hate is bad and pride is good and we should embrace it and wipe out hate. You could argue that wrath is hatred, but anger even in its extremes is not the same as visceral hatred towards evil and the people who commit evil. Pride, on the other hand, is considered the original and worst of the seven deadly sins on almost every list, and the most demonic. I find this very interesting.
