Actually Hebrew, Welsh, Yiddish, Ancient Egyptian, and several others seemingly have lots in common. All of these are Aryan languages except for Hebrew, which is unknown. Likely, however, Hebrew is an Aryan language. There are no smoking guns linking Hebrew but enough to reasonable assume so.

Not in the same way, no. Arabic and Hebrew script is literally written backwards, but Japanese for example is read from left to right (Western style as they call it), or traditionally from top to bottom. The only thing that is really backward is the fact that their books start at what we see as the last page and then you read the pages from right to left.

There are actually 12 languages that are written from right-to-left, Dextrosinistral. Some are written top-to-bottom. The rest are written left-to-right, Sinistrodextral, from the Latin (sinister) and right (dexter). It's all about where they originated.
