Depends on whether or not you are getting a "real" massage or not. If you get one of those fake ass massage parlor rub downs then yes. If you are getting an actual deep tissue massage then no. You wouldn't be able to keep yourself relaxed with 4 people rubbing tender muscles and the massage would be pointless regardless of speed.

No. A real masseuse knows how muscles are connected and work together, if you have pain present in one spot, it could be a pinch somewhere else. Generally, you can't be aware of all of the pain you have going on at once, just what is most painful. Once the most painful issue is worked out, they can find other areas of pain that you didn't even know were sore before because something was causing more pain.
