I see a ton of Tech companies laying people off but never a breakdown of where the layoff's are in the company. I feel like a LOT of the layoff's are in the "administrative" side of the company. Most of those people are over paid and don't do anything that adds value to the company. They are often Activist employees (no real skills, spend their time making emails and posts about how all of the White's are racist).
I have had ~10+ recruiters trying to talk to me just in the last week and the volume is increasing.
It also sounds like a LOT of these companies have gotten rid of a ton of their "visa" employees. If you look at most companies hiring in tech they specifically say things like "Will not sponsor visa" or "Must be American citizen".
I've had some decent calls recently too. Most of them were local companies that chew through people, but one was an interesting job out west. It was in the middle of nowhere, just don't want to be there right now.
