Greed and envy are both manifestations of your innate desire to be important, to be liked, to be thought of as a person who should be thought of often. These people, they need to know how other people think of them. Politicians, Business Persons, Scientists... They all need other people's approval, constantly, in some way shape or form... Votes, Deals, Grant-Money... But you know, sometimes I am the same way. I am just a random shit-poster, over here in the United States of America. And sometimes I think to myself... There is a random guy in Croatia, and he either approves or disapproves of my shit-posts, If he banters and laughs, I feel good about myself. If he doesn't, I feel bad. But it makes me wonder, why do I need to be liked? Why am I so addicted to other people's opinions of myself? This is America, after all
