I read this article and thought about how angry I would be if I had been inconvenienced by this. Ok, the terrorists may think, sure we'll annoy the commuters, but we'll be noticed by people reading the news. Correct. Others will notice, like me. However, they cannot think abstractly and understand that people reading about the protest will view it the same way I do: they're being angry and terrorizing others for sympathy. I am not sympathetic. I'm annoyed by their behavior. I wish the police would come and kick them all out of the country.
Now there's the Trucker protest in Canada. I was sympathetic to them, to the point that I donated money to them, which was refunded to me. In this case, I related to their frustration because of Castro's policy. In this case, the government was the terrorists, not the truckers.
If people are going to protest, they need to know how the audience is going to see them. Terrorists protesting won't gain any sympathy points.
